Information officer of Operation Safe Haven, Major Ishaku Takwa, has confirmed attacks in Jos in a statement released.
Three persons were reportedly killed and many injured in two different attacks in Plateau State.
Early Tuesday, gunmen stormed Yelwa Zangam area of Jos North in the State and killed a local miner and injured an unspecified number of locals.
In the second attack, two commuters were killed in Bida Bidi area of Zaria Road in Jos, the state capital, while many were injured and properties vandalized.
According to a statement by the Governor of the state, Lalong, through his spokesman, Dr. Makut Simon Macham, commended security forces for their swift response, which helped to restore normalcy.
He directed them to go after the attackers and arrest them.
